Howdie Folks!
We're still learning to navigate our way through this blogging process so, please, bear with us! Unfortunately the video we posted in the last post will not play. We've since decided to upload to YouTube as a way of sharing our adventures. Most of you have been sent a private link to our first production. We've not unleashed the channel to the general public yet.
Please Subscribe to our Team V channel so that we may hit it BIG on YouTube, stash our cash in Turks and Caicos somewhere, and have long-lost, never-before-heard-of, relatives coming out of the woodwork for a piece of our pie, LOL.
Cheers!
Fifty-something and crazy in love. We are anglers, hunters, happy campers and word nerds who, according to friends and family, are still in the “honeymoon phase.” Join us on our adventures as we celebrate the great outdoors.

"Dropping the Mic"
July 22nd.
Scouting out fishing spots near Huntsville led us to... Siding lake.
Loaded up canoe and made the trek. About 20 minutes away. Parked, unloaded, had to cross railway track with a canoe on my head to access lake.
Launched, and two casts later Liz has her first pike. Nice size, good fight, my girl knows how to fish.
We paddled around for 4 hours and hooked and landed a few more nice fish.
Great day doing what we love.

Arrowhead camping trip
July 20th.
Lumby campground Site 45.
Good weather when we arrived, despite weatherman' s insistence on it being crappy. Set up camp, hung around for a bit and then drove back to Orillia to meet up with conservation club dudes. Our kinda club -- bbq, beer and wine, fishing for trout alongside meeting pavillio at their tree farm property!

A Great Start -- and Soggy Afternoon
On June 17, our last fundraising effort netted us another $250.00 toward our NWT fund. A BIG thank you to all our friends and family who donated items or found themselves also curbside junk-collecting for items to put in our sales, lol. We truly appreciated everyone's effort!
Luckily we got it packed up just in time -- but not before Dirk got wet collecting up our yard sale signs . . .
