Detroit City -- the birthplace of Berry Gordy's Motown Records. Original building and home to the greats -- Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Funk Brothers, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Smoky, to name a few. Awesome tour, really enjoyed it. All original recording equipment still set up exactly as it was back in the day.
She thinks it's a simulator like a commercial aircraft -- this is where HE fails to inform HER that the fighter simulator will actually flip upside down . . . he's the pilot, she's the gunner. And yes, he flipped it. Let's just say she's NOT good on roller coasters or upside down fighter jet simulators . . . "RIGHT THIS PLANE, NOW!" she ordered.

Rock Hall Pirate and Wenches Fantasy Weekend
We left early morning for the Erie border crossing to the U.S.A. The weather couldn't be more perfect, and yes we got lost -- more than once. Didn't really matter though, for we found ourselves meandering along beautiful country roads and through quaint little towns.

Arriving late afternoon at Rock Hall, Maryland, there were signs of piracy well in advance of our arrival. Jolly Roger flags were flapping from rooftops, mail boxes, flag poles and vehicle antennae. The shenanigans were about to begin . . .
After setting up camp and a good night's sleep in 100 degree temps, we headed into town the next morning to partake in some of the events. It was 108 degrees in the morning!
